New Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1)

On 29 September 2022, the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a new Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1). ZVPot-1 entered into force on 26 October 2022 and will apply from 26 January 2023. The new Act implements the provisions of three European Directives into the Slovenian legal order and combines the provisions of two acts in the field of consumer protection, namely the previously applicable Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot) as well as the Protection of Consumers from Unfair Business Practices Act (ZVPNPP), into a single regulation.
